Dom Art Projects is a private cultural institution located in Dubai’s Al Khayat Avenue. The space is host to a program of museum-grade exhibitions and installations by emerging and mid-career artists, as well as a bookshop specializing in art and culture, and a residency program with three dedicated studios for artistic production and research.
The institution’s identity and aspirations are reflected in its name. In Slavic languages, ‘dom' means both ‘house’ and ‘home’, while across the post-Soviet cultural landscape, the word has historically been associated with institutions for the production, exchange, and dissemination of knowledge and culture. In Arabic, ‘dom' means ‘always’, adding another layer of meaning: a sense of continuity, endurance, and lasting presence.
Dom Art Projects aspires to be a point of connection and support for diverse communities brought together by shared cultural needs and creative impulses, in Dubai and beyond.
